Sharpie has combined the permanence of a pen with the erasability of a pencil with their new Liquid Pencil. The “ink” inside this pen is a liquid graphite that stays erasable for three days. After that, it turns to ink and stays permanent.

The Antennae galaxies are a pair of colliding galaxies about 62 million light years from Earth. These images show X-rays from Chandra, optical data from Hubble, and infrared data from Spitzer. The X-ray image shows huge clouds of hot, interstellar gas that have been injected with rich deposits of elements from supernova explosions. This enriched gas, which includes elements such as oxygen, iron, magnesium and silicon, will be incorporated into new generations of stars and planets. The bright, point-like sources in the image are produced by material falling onto black holes and neutron stars that are remnants of the massive stars.

The single greatest reason that I hate teenagers is the fact that it is no longer ‘cool’ to be smart. Although this has always been somewhat true, my generation has pushed it to an all new level. The anti-intellectual attitude that is present in most of popular teen culture is something that totally baffles me. The vast majority of people my age aspire to be rappers and movie stars, not scientists or engineers. They want to be millionaires, but they can hardly compose a complete sentence. I am sick and fucking tired of being asked to dumb down my speech because I use ‘big words’ like specification and qualify. It sends a chill down my spine when I get a glance of a classmate’s writing in honors English and I have to consciously put forth conscious effort to decipher their illiterate babble. I’m disillusioned and burnt out because I’m surrounded by people that think the multiplication of polynomials is “hard as a bitch!”. I’m disgusted every time I see the epidemic of bigotry, misogyny, hatred and general nastiness every time I step into my high school. I’m confused and angry. I don’t like what is happening to my generation, and I’m genuinely afraid for the future. There are many people my age that I know that are wonderful, smart, and can maintain an intelligent conversation for more than a few minutes. The problem is that that group of people is vastly outnumbered by the legions of idiots who fear anything with more than four syllables. It’s hard; being scared and along in a sea of stupidity. Hopefully that little nugget of optomisim and hope for humanity is right, and we might not eff it after all.

tl;dr teenagers are stupid and, and I hate them.

To be clear on the rules:
* Each man can see all of the hats on the men in front of him, but not his own nor the men behind him.
* Each man may say only “white” or “black” — no kicking the guy in front of him, no indicative pauses, etc. Think of this like a binary-answering situation.
* There is no quaranteed even distribution of the hats.
